New Here About Story of God Resource

As a church we have a clear call to mission in our local community. In Christ we are called to represent God to our community, and our community to God in and through Jesus. This is an ongoing process.

The King’s Church is also connected with mission around the world and has sent out and supports a number of missionaries. We currently have connections with missionaries in Zambia, Thailand, and India.

In particular The King's Church has very close links with a church called 'Lordsway Ministries' in Mufulira, Zambia.
Nick & Erica Lugg, who were previously the pastors of The King's Church, moved to Zambia in 2004 to work with Lordsway Ministries, in particular to oversee a work called 'Children in Crisis Africa (CiCA)'. CiCA operates a child sponsorship scheme designed to help children attend and complete school.  CiCA also gives small business grants, helps in emergency situations where, for example, food or hospital treatment is needed urgently and in certain circumstances can help with HIV testing and ARV treatment. The sponsorship base has grown out from members of The King's Church to and now includes people from around the local area as well as a number of local schools.

The King’s Church is also involved with the work of Partners Relief and Development who work on the Thai Burma border.
